Founded in 2005, Christine Markatos Design is a nationally recognized, award-winning interior design studio servicing clients across the country. The studio is led by Christine Markatos Lowe, who brings over 25 years of residential expertise to her projects. Christine's portfolio of work has been featured in numerous publications such as Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Luxe Interiors and Design, the Wall Street Journal and L.A. Times among others. The design approach and philosophy with each project is the same. It starts with a story; what does the concept of home mean to the client and how do they want to live?  From there begins a deep dive into what the project could be. The studio’s breadth of work ranges from elegant traditional rooms to calm contemporary spaces. Christine is supported in the design process by a talented team led by Design Director Erin Cunningham. Organization and communication form the backbone of the team’s commitment to client service. The team is adept at creating palettes infused with color and pattern, from soft and tranquil to bold and graphic. The work is sculptural and edited, often filled with custom furnishings and found objects. By understanding the interplay of architecture and interior design, the studio strives to create harmonious environments that the clients can be inspired in.
